This year is flying by & with all the custom work we have, it has been hard to build any available stock. We are so thankful for the work & opportunity to custom-build what our clients have envisioned in the home. It is also nice to build a handmade piece based on the lumber & its natural beauty. We did that with these wormy maple boards that we picked up this winter. Locally cut & dried in Alleghany Co. The result is an outstanding 7’x38″ Tucker Trestle table & matching bench. Like all our tables, it is built to last a lifetime with mortise & tenon joinery throughout the construction. The natural color is brought to life by hand-scraping the wood, a craft that fine woodworkers have used for hundreds of years. Finished with a low-sheen lacquer top coat that makes this piece of art not only beautiful but also water-resistant & easy to clean for everyday use.
